Alaric Enters Italy

Alaric, an early king of the Germanic Visigoths, enters Italy and threatens Rome. The Roman emperor, Honorius, offers the Visigoths land in Gaul, and enlists them to oust the Vandals from the Roman province of Hispania in the Iberian peninsula.
